Keep reading for our step-by-step guide on how to apply false strip lashes flawlessly.
What You’ll Need:
Before we get started, let’s make sure you have the right tools. The right tools make all the difference in getting your lashes to stick!
Lash Adhesive
A great adhesive is key to long-lasting lashes. Our glue is perfect for the job!
- Waterproof ✔️
- Super Strong ✔️
- Dries Clear ✔️
- Paraben-Free ✔️
- Latex-Free ✔️
What makes it special? It’s iridescent! As the glue becomes tacky, it changes colour to a darker shade, making it easier to know when it’s ready for your lashes. Typically, it takes about 30 seconds to get to the perfect tacky stage.
Lash Applicator
A quality applicator is essential for precision. Our tweezers are designed to help you place the strip lash without blocking your view. The rounded tips provide a safe application, making them ideal for beginners. Never use sharp tweezers near your eye—safety first!
Step-by-Step Guide to Applying False Lashes
Step 1: Preparing Your Lashes
- Open your lash box and gently remove the lash tray.
- Bend the tray slightly to loosen the lash band from the tray.
- Use your tweezers to gently peel off the lashes, starting from one side and working your way to the other.
- Once the lash is free from the tray, lightly stretch the band back and forth to soften it for easier application.
Step 2: Trimming the Lash Band
- Place the strip lash on your eyelid (don’t worry, it’s not meant to stick yet).
- Trim any excess band length from the lash until it fits perfectly along your lash line.
- Pro Tip: Take your time with this step. If the band is too long or too short, it can make your eyes look droopy or uneven.
- Important: Your eyes are not identical, so don’t cut both lashes to the same length. Adjust each lash to fit your unique eye shape.
Step 3: Applying the Adhesive
- Hold the lash with your applicator and apply a thin layer of adhesive along the lash band.
- Wait for about 30 seconds while the glue darkens and becomes tacky. This ensures a strong bond.
Step 4: Applying the Lashes
Face Positioning:
To get the best view of your lash line, start by looking directly into the mirror. Tilt your head back slightly so your chin is aligned with the mirror. This will keep your eyes open and give you a perfect view of what you’re doing.
Lash Placement:
- With your applicator in hand, pick up the lash and hover it over your eye.
- Position the band at the beginning of your lash line and don’t move it.
- Gently place the lash straight down, pressing it into place for about 5 seconds.
- Hold down the inner corner for another 5-7 seconds, then repeat with the outer corner.
Repeat for the Other Eye:
Once the first lash is secure, move on to the second one and repeat the process.
Finishing Touches
- Wait 3-5 minutes before applying mascara to your lashes. This will ensure the adhesive is fully set, and your lashes stay in place all day.
